JHN is een samenwerking tussen circa 70 huisartsenpraktijken in de regio Utrecht en de afdeling Huisartsgeneeskunde en Verplegingswetenschap van het UMC Utrecht. Al meer dan twintig jaar leren huisartsen en onderzoekers samen van gegevens uit de dagelijkse zorg. Zo ontstaat nieuwe kennis die kan bijdragen aan betere en toekomstbestendige huisartsenzorg.

Participating is easy
Na de technische aansluiting loopt de gegevenslevering van uw HIS via VipLive. JHN begeleidt de aansluiting en ondersteunt uw praktijk met informatie voor uw patiënten.
Data from the JHN ​​database is used to conduct research into topics relevant to general practice—ranging from chronic conditions and medication to prevention, mental health, digital support, and the organization of care. This demonstrates the ultimate value that real-world clinical data can provide for primary care.
JHN gaat zorgvuldig om met zorggegevens. JHN ontvangt geen gegevens waarmee patiënten direct te identificeren zijn, zoals naam of adres. Bovendien beoordeelt JHN iedere aanvraag voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek zorgvuldig.
Patients receive information about the use of their healthcare data for research purposes. Those who do not wish for their data to be used in this way can inform their GP.
Our practice provides data to JHN. It requires no effort, and JHN ensures privacy. Another great aspect is that if you have a research question of your own—relevant to general practice—that could be explored using JHN data, you can pursue this through JHN or the Academic Collaborative Centre.
