Data requests

The data in the JHN database are conditionally available to researchers. Interested parties can submit a request for research via a form to the JHN Steering Committee

Download the form here.

For a new application, always use the form on this website (old forms will not be considered).

All communication goes through the secretariatSecretariaatJHN-3@umcutrecht.nl. The secretariat handles all questions (including those prior to making an application). Requests outside the secretariat will not be processed.

The JHN Team reviews the application and then submits it to the JHN Steering Committee. The steering committee assesses the application for clinical relevance, quality, methodology, feasibility and burden on general practice. To ensure this, the steering committee consists of a methodologist and a senior researcher from the department of family medicine in addition to representatives of the general practitioners.

After approval by the steering committee, the data request is worked out in detail with the operational manager of the JHN and a quotation is prepared. After the quotation is signed, it is decided in consultation with the researcher when the data will be delivered, usually within a period of one to two months after discussion in the steering committee.

To request additional data collected within the framework of LRGP, please follow the LRGP request procedure as described on the LRGP website.

Conditions

There are conditions attached to the use of data. After approval to do research with JHN data, the form "Conditions of Use of Data" is signed. Download the form here.

Costs

A one-time data delivery costs, depending on the number of hours, a few thousand euros for data and data management. Does it involve larger, long-term projects with multiple data deliveries (follow-up) or involve a patient approach? Then the infrastructure contribution comes to about €10,000 per year.
After approval of an application by the steering committee, the data manager of the JHN will prepare a quote for the exact cost of the data delivery.
